(Oxford, Al) The Oxford Police Department responded to a report of a shot fired inside Quintard Mall earlier today.

Preliminary information indicates an argument occurred between individuals inside the mall, during which a single shot was fired. At this time, investigators have confirmed that no one was struck or injured.

The involved individual(s) fled the scene. Officers and investigators remain on scene actively processing evidence and working to identify and locate those responsible.

There is no ongoing threat to the public at this time. The mall has been secured, and officers are maintaining an increased presence in the area out of an abundance of caution.
