Gadsden State Welcomes New Part-Time Officer, Honors Outgoing Team Member

Gadsden- Gadsden State Police/Public Safety Department is excited to welcome Officer Lee Terry to the team in a part-time role, covering weekends, nights, and the dormitory and residence hall areas.
Officer Terry brings more than 25 years of law enforcement experience to his new position. He currently serves full-time with the City of Hokes Bluff and has previously worked with the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office and the Piedmont Police Department.
Outside of his professional life, Officer Terry is a devoted father to two daughters, Jordan and Anna Leigh, and is soon expecting his fourth grandchild. The department expressed gratitude for his expertise and dedication in helping keep students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community safe.
At the same time, the department took a moment to recognize Officer Richard Cox, who played a crucial role in the team’s early days, covering nights, weekends, and dorm responsibilities. His contributions and service were greatly appreciated by the department and the campus community.
