Deputy Aaron Dobbins Joins Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division

Deputy Aaron Dobbins takes the oath of office before joining the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division.

CENTRE – The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office has welcomed Deputy Aaron Dobbins to its Patrol Division.

Sheriff Jeff Shaver administered the oath of office to Dobbins during a ceremony attended by Chief Deputy Josh Summerford. Dobbins’ father, Capt. Greg Dobbins of the Floyd County Police Department, also joined him for the ceremony.

Dobbins brings more than four years of law enforcement experience from the Centre Police Department. WEIS Radio reported on his graduation from the Northeast Alabama Law Enforcement Academy in 2022.

The Sheriff’s Office said it is glad to welcome Dobbins to its team.
