Donna Lumsden Palmer, of the Sand Rock Community, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 64.
In celebration of her life, the family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6 to 8 pm, at Perry Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, DeWayne Palmer; son, Jaron Palmer and his wife, Sydney; son, Bron Palmer, and Ashley; sister, Sally Anderson and her husband, Randy; brothers, Kevin Lumsden and his wife, Amy, Dennis Smithson and his wife, Shirley, and Bill Bennett and his wife, Sandee; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Nilmarg Adrian Lumsden. and her stepfather, Ralph Sandretto, who also held a very special place in Donna’s heart.
Donna enjoyed seeing new places and making memories wherever she went. Taking pictures was her thing, pictures of just about anything. Nature was one of her favorite subjects, and she had an eye for noticing the beauty in the simple things—a pretty flower, a peaceful view, a sunset, the moon, or something along the way that others might have passed right by.
Above all, Donna was a family person. Donna shared 42 wonderful years with her husband, DeWayne. She was a devoted wife and mother whose family was always at the center of her life. She cherished her husband, her boys, and those closest to her, and the time they shared meant the world to her. She leaves behind many treasured memories, and a lifetime of moments her family will hold close in the days to come.
Donna will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request donations be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
