Three Arrested Following Drug Investigation in Mt. Weisner Community
MT. WEISNER– Three Centre residents face multiple charges after Cherokee County authorities executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home in the Mt. Weisner community.
Investigators and deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office conducted the search at a residence on County Road 71. Members of the Cherokee County Emergency Response Team also assisted.
According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators obtained the warrant during an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Following the search, authorities arrested Jakobi McNeal, 36; Brodee Deaton, 20; and Sandy McNeal, 45. Deputies then transported all three suspects to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
Charges Announced Following Search
Jakobi McNeal faces charges of first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
In addition, he faces charges of chemical endangerment of a child and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deaton faces two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He also faces charges of chemical endangerment of a child, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana.
Meanwhile, Sandy McNeal faces two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Her remaining charges include first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and second-degree promoting prison contraband.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
