Attalla Police Search for Missing Endangered Man Nathaniel Lucas Jackson

Nathaniel Lucas Jackson missing in Attalla after being last seen near Sixth Street Southwest

ATTALLA– The Attalla Police Department is asking for help locating Nathaniel Lucas Jackson, whom police classify as missing and endangered.

Jackson, 40, was last seen at approximately 2 p.m. July 29. Police said he was in the area of 6th Street SW within the Attalla city limits.

He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds. Jackson has brown hair and green eyes.

At the time of his disappearance, Jackson was wearing a tan striped polo shirt, gray shorts, and Nike flip-flops.

Police said Jackson has been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and has the cognitive functioning of a child. Authorities said those circumstances make his disappearance a matter of significant concern.

The department’s missing-person bulletin was issued Aug. 4 and lists the case as active.
