Three Cedartown Residents Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges Following Traffic Stop

CEDARTOWN, Ga. — Three Cedartown residents were arrested on multiple drug and related charges following a traffic stop, according to a report by Coosa Valley News.

Authorities identified the suspects as Jordan Bridget Carter, 34, Tyler Mason Hamrick, 33, and Joshua David Pike, 43, all of Cedartown.

According to the report, officers initiated the traffic stop after the driver failed to maintain the lane of travel. During the stop, Officer K-9 Kane conducted a free-air sniff around the vehicle and gave a positive alert indicating the presence of narcotics.

Officers then searched the vehicle and reportedly discovered methamphetamine, a Schedule IV controlled substance, and a handgun with an altered identification mark.

Carter, Hamrick, and Pike are each charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of drug-related objects, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, fourth-degree forgery, criminal use of an article with an altered identification mark, and financial transaction card fraud.

In addition, Hamrick and Pike are each facing an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
