Gadsden Fire Department Announces Collection Dates for Annual “Toys From Santa” Drive
GADSDEN — The Gadsden Fire Department has released the collection schedule for its annual “Toys From Santa” toy drive, a long-standing program aimed at ensuring that children in need across the city experience the joy of Christmas.
Firefighters expressed their appreciation for the community’s ongoing generosity and emphasized the continued need for donations this holiday season. Both new, unopened toys and monetary contributions are encouraged.
A major collection event will take place during a toy drive roadblock in front of the Gadsden Mall on Friday, November 28, beginning at 8 a.m. Community members may drop off toys or monetary donations during the event.
Additional donations may be made at any Gadsden Fire Station, the first floor of Gadsden City Hall, or Emblem Credit Union at 702 Walnut Street. Monetary donations may also be mailed to Gadsden Fire Station No. 1, 322 Walnut Street, Gadsden, AL 35901.
Families seeking assistance through the program may apply at Fire Station No. 1 on Wednesday, December 3, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Fire Chief Vance Brown thanked residents for their continued support and generosity, offering his wishes for a safe and joyful holiday season.
