Gadsden Fire Department Responds to Eastside Structure Fire

GADSDEN – Gadsden firefighters responded to a structure fire on the Eastside earlier today after a neighbor reported smoke coming from the home.

Engine 3 was first on the scene and reported heavy smoke. Fire crews quickly launched an offensive attack, with Engine 1 providing a backup line. Quint 4 conducted a primary search of the residence while Engine 8 performed a secondary search to ensure no occupants were inside. Rescue 1 assisted Engine 3 and Engine 1 during overhaul operations.

Fire Marshal 1, Training Officer 1, and Chief Brown also responded to the incident. Officials confirmed that no one was home at the time of the fire.

The blaze was brought under control quickly, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
