Gadsden Firefighter Ron “Silver Fox” Wideman Retires After Distinguished Career
Gadsden— The Gadsden Fire Department is celebrating the retirement of longtime firefighter Ron Wideman, affectionately known to colleagues and friends as the “Silver Fox.”
Wideman has served the citizens of Gadsden with dedication and professionalism throughout his career, earning respect not only for his skill on the job but also for his role as a mentor and friend to fellow firefighters.
“Ron has been a steady presence in our department for many years,” the department shared in a statement. “His legacy of service and commitment to protecting our community will not be forgotten.”
