From Gadsden:
The Gadsden Fire Department responded early Saturday morning to a one-car accident on West Meighan Boulevard.
Emergency units on scene included Quint 4, Rescue 1, Battalion 2, and Battalion 3, along with the Gadsden Police Department, Advantage EMS, and A-Med Ambulance Service. Firefighters utilized hydraulic rescue tools to extricate the victims from the wreckage.
According to officials, one victim was transported to a local hospital, while another was transported to a Birmingham hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by Gadsden Police.
