Tree Falls on Vehicle, Traps Occupant in Broomtown
BROOMTOWN, Ala. — A person was briefly trapped inside a vehicle Friday morning after a tree, entangled with power lines, fell across the vehicle.
The incident occurred around 8:50 a.m., prompting a response from the Broomtown Fire Department and the Cherokee Electric Cooperative. Emergency personnel worked to safely remove the tree and power lines before the occupant could be freed.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
