In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:
Brooklyn Pressley, age 43 of Piedmont, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of 2nd degree promoting prison contraband, two counts of the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Johnny Washington, age 69 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Michael Marsh, age 54 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear on previous charges of the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and the unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
Steve Hamlin, age 52 of Fort Payne, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of five counts of distributing a private image.
Arrests are based on probable cause; all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Currently, there are a total of 101 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
