CENTRE – The Cherokee County Warriors pounded out 15 hits in a 16-6 baseball victory over Glencoe on Tuesday.
Nate Black went 3-for-5 with two doubles, three runs and three RBIs to lead the Warriors (6-7). Adam Griffith was 3-for-3 with two walks, three runs and a RBI.
Luke Young went 2-for-3 with two walks, two runs and two RBIs. Aiden Bobbitt was 2-for-4 with a run and two RBIs. Carson Tittle was also 2-for-4 with a run and a RBI.
James Hunter went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs and a RBI. Evan Hill was 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and a RBI. Parker Wilson went 1-for-5 with two runs. Case Hill walked and scored a run.
Evan Hill earned the win after working five innings. He gave up three earned runs on six hits with a walk and three strikeouts. Brodie Harkins tossed an inning of no-hit ball with a strikeout.
The Warriors await the winner of Thursday’s Sand Rock-Cedar Bluff game on Friday at 4:30 p.m. in the Cherokee County Tournament at Cedar Bluff.
