TALLAHASSEE– Players will chase an estimated $332 million Powerball jackpot Wednesday night. No ticket matched all six numbers in Monday’s drawing.

According to the official Powerball results, Wednesday’s drawing carries a $141.7 million cash option. Powerball will draw the numbers at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.

Monday’s Winning Powerball Numbers

Monday’s winning white-ball numbers were 2, 7, 9, 17, and 58. The red Powerball was 20, while the Power Play multiplier was 2X.

Monday’s estimated jackpot stood at $314 million, with a $133.8 million cash value. However, no ticket matched all five white balls and the red Powerball.

As a result, the estimated jackpot increased by $18 million for Wednesday’s drawing.

Still, one United Kingdom ticket matched all five white balls and won a second-tier prize.

Meanwhile, no ticket claimed the $2 million Match 5 prize with Power Play. Eight tickets matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $50,000 each.

In addition, six Power Play tickets won $100,000 at that prize level. Overall, the results listed hundreds of thousands of winners across the game’s lower prize levels.

How the $332 Million Powerball Jackpot Works

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play in U.S. jurisdictions. According to the official Powerball FAQs, the UK National Lottery charges £4 for one play.

Players select five white-ball numbers from 1 through 69. They also choose one red Powerball number from 1 through 26.

For another $1, U.S. players may add Power Play. The option multiplies most non-jackpot prizes based on the multiplier drawn that night.

Jackpot winners may choose an annuity or a single cash payment. The annuity makes 30 graduated payments over 29 years.

By comparison, the cash option provides one lump-sum payment. Powerball advertises both amounts before federal and jurisdictional taxes.

Although the jackpot continues to grow, the odds remain extremely long. Powerball’s official prize chart puts the jackpot odds at 1 in 292,201,338.

Meanwhile, the overall odds of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 24.87.

Powerball conducts drawings every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Players can buy tickets in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the United Kingdom.

Finally, sales cutoff times vary by jurisdiction. Ticket sales may end one or two hours before the drawing.
