Cedar Bluff girls lose on a buzzer-beating shot at LaFayette, Ga.

LAFAYETTE, Ga. – The Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers lost a heartbreaking basketball game on a buzzer-beating shot Monday at LaFayette, Ga., by the final of 44-43.

Kylie Vadon led the Lady Tigers (10-5) with 13 points, five rebounds, four steals and an assist. Caley Bruce added 10 points, 10 rebounds and a steal. Janaya Higgins had eight points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal. Ciana Smith sank a pair of 3-pointers and finished with six points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Raven Yancy led the Lady Ramblers with 16 points. Tamra Yancy tallied 11 points.

Cedar Bluff led 9-7 at the end of the first quarter before LaFayette rallied to tak a 20-16 edge at halftime. LaFayette maintained a 30-26 advantage after three quarters and held off Cedar Bluff at the end.

Cedar Bluff travels to Sand Rock Jan. 7.
