In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

VAN SMITH, age 54 of Gaylesville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Failure to Appear/Obstructing Justice.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 108 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
