In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

Preston Burt – 21 from Piedmont – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Possession of an Altered Firearm, and also Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Wesley Quarles age 36 from Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – and charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument 4th Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Surface;

Jessica Wynn, 36 from Ranburne, Alabama was arrested by Centre Police and she was charged with Failure to Appear, on a previous count of Theft of Property 4th Degree;

Frank Watkins, age 72 of Cedar Bluff, was picked up by Alabama Pardons & Parole on a Parole Violation;

Myra Tucker, age 46 from Gadsden was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Failure to Appear on previous counts of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and also the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Brandy Norton, age 40 of Leesburg, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Toby Hulsey age 46 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Conditional Release Violation;

And

Brian Johnson age 36 of Fort Payne was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 115 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
