CHEROKEE COUNTY– Deputy Colby Bright has graduated from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Academy, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Jeff Shaver and Chief Deputy Josh Summerford attended the graduation ceremony. Their attendance showed the department’s support for Bright as he completed the academy.

Bright will now begin field training with the Sheriff’s Office. The training marks his next step as he begins serving the citizens of Cherokee County.

The Sheriff’s Office said it is proud to have Bright on its team. Officials also look forward to watching him grow throughout his law enforcement career.
