First Responders were notified of a single-vehicle accident – taking place just south of Leesburg on Highway 411, Tuesday afternoon. The accident took place around 4:50pm with the vehicle rolling over – entrapping one person.
Leesburg Police and Fire units, the Cherokee County Rescue Squad – also Floyd EMS – all responded to the scene, and the individual was extricated from the vehicle before immediately being transported to the area FEMA Building. From there they were air-lifted to a nearby trauma center for treatment
