On Wednesday afternoon – a passerby spotted the body of a man floating in Armuchee Creek in Georgia and notified Floyd County 9-1-1 officials.
Floyd County Police, and Emergency Workers, had a tough time reaching the body due to the terrain surrounding the creek – where that body was located just north of Turkey Mountain Road. Soon the Floyd County Coroner determined that the remains had been in the water for several days.
The body was determined to be Alfred Franklin Trapp, Jr. Trapp’s shoes, socks and T-shirt, along with a cell phone were located on the bank of the creek.
His body was then sent to the GBI Crime Lab; however – the Floyd County Police and the Coroner’s Office say that no foul play is suspected.
