In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

MICHAEL ZUBER, age 32 from Gaylesville – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Domestic Violence 2nd Degree;

MICHAEL BAILEY, 53 from Cedartown, Georgia, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – Grand Jury Indictment/Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

KAYLA THOMAS, age 35 of Lyerly, Georgia, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Failure to Appear on a previous charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

ASHLEY SMITH, age 35 from Piedmont, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear on the prior charges of Altered Tag, Driving While Revoked (two counts), Expired Tag, Obstructing Justice/a False ID (two counts), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree (two counts);

JUSTIN COX, age 38 of Glencoe, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of – Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

And

AMBER SMITH, age 31 from Cedar Bluff arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (three Counts) – and with Illegal Possession of Prescription Pills.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 86 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
