A 4 year old boy was airlifted to UAB Hospital with a SEVERE eye injury – on Sunday – after being bitten by a dog on in the Egypt community.
The Etowah County Sheriff’s Office stated that the youngster, was visiting at a family gathering, when he was bitten by a shepherd mixed dog. The dog is believed to belong to the resident, where the incident actually took place. The boy is listed in stable condition. The Sheriff’s Office has notified the Health Department – and also Animal Control.
According to Sheriff Jonothan Horton, the dog is now secured, and will be quarantined by a veterinarian.
