Gaylesville boys hold off Coosa Christian 53-48 in Class 1A, Area 12 basketball battle

GAYLESVILLE – Kyler Bradley connected on five 3-pointers and finished with 30 points to lead the Gaylesville Trojans to a 53-48 Class 1A, Area 12 basketball win over visiting Coosa Christian on Friday.

Bradley also added seven steals and three assists for the Trojans. Daylen Dobbins sank three treys and had 11 points to go along with three rebounds, an assist and a steal. Braden Sharp added five points, five rebounds and pair of steals.

Collin Hendon contributed eight assists, six steals, four rebounds, two points and two blocks. Kuper Bradley finished with four points, four rebounds, four steals and two assists.

DJ Mackey tossed in 17 points for the Conquerors. Elijah Motes added eight points. Jaylen Jones and Samuel Reeves both finished with six points. Reeves connected on a pair of 3-pointers.

Gaylesville held a 19-14 advantage at the end of the first quarter and led 25-24 at halftime. The Trojans maintained a two-point edge after three quarters at 39-37 and held on down the stretch for the final.

Gaylesville hosts Alabama School for the Deaf on Jan. 11.
