Record Breaking Rock Run Christmas Parade Enjoyed BY ALL! / UPDATED

This year’s Rock Run Christmas Parade was, without a doubt, one of the biggest in the event’s 19 year history!

It was a perfect day for the parade, with clouds to keep it pleasant and no rainfall in sight.

Over 400 entries made it one of the BIGGEST turnouts, in both the number of participants and also spectators who help to make it a HUGE annual event enjoyed by all ages.

WEIS Radio was honored to be selected as this year’s Grand Marshal and had the unforgettable opportunity to meet with a large number of people, as the staff waved and tossed out candy all up and down the parade route.

Also bear in mind, organizers are ALREADY working on next year’s event – #20 – and it promises to be HUGE.

Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver said that the Christmas parade was another gigantic success and the entries along with the crowd made for a fantastic event.

Area vendors, businesses and organizations, and parade organizers came together to provide a great experience for everyone in attendance – and that included FREE FOOD and companionship at Rock Run Baptist Church; also unwrapped toys were collected for kids in need with special drop-off boxes located in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Sheriff Shaver, and many of his staff members, participated in the parade – all the while making sure that traffic was under control, and that safety was the top priority.
