During the Wednesday afternoon regular Board of Education Meeting, Cory Colbert was elected board President and Randall Davis was elected board Vice President.

The Board declared a trailer as surplus property. The Board approved an agreement with Catapult for Cherokee County High School. This was funded by the CCHS Football team. The Board also approved the travel of the Spring Garden’s girls basketball team to travel to Florida and Tennessee to play games.

Superintendent Welsh offered a big “Thank You” to all the teachers because November is Thank Alabama Teaching Month. He also wanted to thank all the Veterans for their service with Veterans Day on Saturday with schools closed Friday for the holiday.

Superintendent Welsh also commended The Spring Garden girls volleyball team for winning a State Championship.

The next Cherokee County Schools Regular Board meeting will be on Wednesday December 13 th at 4pm.
