Alabama State Troopers responded to a two-vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in DeKalb County.

According to reports, one vehicle fled the scene – and has yet to be found – after a truck hauling a trailer, reportedly crossed the centerline and fled – after colliding with a Pontiac Grand Am on that stretch of road.

  The driver of the Pontiac listed as a female from the Collinsville area, was transported for treatment of her injuries to a hospital in Huntsville.  The search for the other vehicle – possibly a white pickup truck, remains under investigation – that collision occurred on County Road 50 at approximately 5:20pm.

That wreck remains under investigation by State Troopers.
