PIEDMONT– The Piedmont Police Department announced road closures for the 14th Annual CRAP RUN on Saturday, October 3. The closures begin downtown at 3 p.m., with additional restrictions before the evening races.

Police will close the four downtown blocks beginning at 3 p.m. Later, closures for the 1-mile kids run begin at 5:45 p.m. Those restrictions cover roads on East Ladiga Street to Barlow Street and along the trailheads. The kids run then starts at 6 p.m.

For the 5K, police will close all roads from East Ladiga Street to The Wagon Road and along the trailheads. Those closures begin at 6:45 p.m., followed by the race at 7 p.m. Roads will then reopen as runners clear the course.

However, vehicles cannot enter or leave areas along the race course once the race closures begin. Police urge residents and visitors to make arrangements beforehand.

The department also asks drivers to avoid the affected areas and use alternate routes during the races. The closures protect runners, spectators, and event workers.
