Minor flooding is ending along portions of the Lower Black Warrior River.

A bitterly cold air mass will move into Central Alabama late Thursday night. Sustained winds of 20 mph or greater are possible, with gusts of 35 to 40 mph. Wind chills are expected to fall below zero Friday morning across the northwest half of Central Alabama, and across much of Central Alabama Friday night into Saturday morning. Temperatures will likely fall to 20 degrees or cooler across much of Central Alabama each night Thursday through Sunday.
