The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Perry Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Bros. Sam Hopper and Ronnie Pope officiating. Burial will follow in Old Nazareth Baptist Church Cemetery.
Leroy is survived by his wife, Linda Joy Miller Lambert; son, Christopher Lee (Tracy) Lambert; daughters, Dana (Scott) Carroll and Tina (Blake) Stanly; sister, Faye Meyers; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee Lambert and Tennie Susan Mallet Lambert; grandparents, Roscoe and Jessie Lambert and William and Lillie Mallet; daughter, Chastina Lambert; brothers, Carl Lee, R.T., Frankie, Freddie, Rayburn, and Stanley Lambert; and sister, Shelby McClure.
Leroy was a member of Jesus Christ New Covenant Church and worked as a carpenter. A true jack-of-all-trades, there wasn’t much he couldn’t fix or figure out. He was creative and especially enjoyed woodworking and making things with his hands. Leroy never met a stranger and had a way of making friends wherever he went. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, and he also had a special love for animals.
Pallbearers will be Scott Carroll, Blake Stanly, John Randall Foster, Buddy Prater, Jerrett Lambert, and Michael McClure.
