Lisa Hooser Hodge Cochran

Lisa Hooser Hodge Cochran of Cedar Bluff, Alabama passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2022 in a Chattanooga, Tennessee hospital after a sudden illness.  Lisa was born in Rome, Georgia on April 22, 1952.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Marion Hodge, husband Lawson Cochran, and son Chad Owen.

She is survived by a sister, Janet Emerson of Atlanta, brother Dennis Hodge (Holly) of Rome, nephew Nat Emerson of Atlanta, and stepson Brad Cochran of Marietta. gaminator 777: ingyen nyerőgépek, kaszinó, játékok   Special friend Amanda Harrell and her family were sharing Lisa’s home, helping when needed.

Lisa attended Thornwood School for Girls (class of 1970) and Shorter College.   Lisa worked in the family business in Rome, Dennis Hodge’s Office Supply, until its dissolution in 1989. In addition to her primary job, Lisa made time to manage the local roller-skating rink, Great Eskate, during the 1980’s.  She enjoyed the excitement of the rink, looking after all the kids, and sharing it all with her son Chad who later became the DJ.   Lisa later pursued a career in Property Management which lasted over 20 years.

Lisa obtained the National Affordable Housing Professional Certification (NAHP), the Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and the Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) accreditations.  She received many H.U.D. commendations and Southeast regional (SAHMA) awards.  She served on various Boards and was a Georgia Chairperson for a SAHMA sponsored project.   Throughout her career, Lisa was a very caring and giving person to all the residents in the many apartment complexes she managed.

Lisa was a huge lover of dogs having rescued many over the years.  She leaves behind Sonny, Hattie Mae, and Lucy. hill fogadóiroda     Lisa lived on Lake Weiss in Cedar Bluff, Alabama since 2001 where she and Lawson shared a life-long love of fishing.   She loved nothing more than having family and friends over for large holiday gatherings spent on and around their dock. ingyenes nyerőgépes játékok letöltése   Lisa was a good Southern cook and enjoyed feeding the group on warm summer days at the lake.

Lisa volunteered her time with The 20th Century Club of Cherokee Alabama, The Cherokee County Civitan Club and also the Cherokee County Historical Museum.

A casual Celebration of Life event is scheduled for Friday, April 22nd, at the City Park in Cedar Bluff, Alabama (Spring Street).    This would have been Lisa’s 70th Birthday and the family hopes all her friends will drop by during the Celebration, 4:30 to 7:30 CST.
