In what has been determined to have been an attempted murder-suicide in Anniston on Tuesday afternoon, a man has died and woman remains listed in critical condition at UAB Hospital. Officers responded to the 700 block of Noble Street around 1:30pm, where they found a 55 year old male dead, and a 51 year old female seriously injured.
The names of the two individuals have yet to be released – although authorities DID confirm that they had been in a dating relationship; through video evidence found by law enforcement and from eyewitnesses, police determined the male shot the female and then turned the weapon on himself.
The matter remains under investigation
