Elmer Augustus Carver, age 91 of Sand Rock, passed away Friday, December 24th at his residence.
A graveside service will be held 12:30 CST , December 30th , 2021 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include members of the family.
He is survived by his wife of 73 , Opal Orlene Carver; son, James (Amy) Carver; daughters, Kay (Jackie) Thomas, Renee (Scott) Godfrey, Shaundra (Craig) Young; sister, Mattie “Tip” Hufstetler; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Joe Carver.
Mr. Carver was a native of Cherokee County, is the son of the late Irby Randolf Carver and Elsie Alpha Bobo, and was a member of the Sand Rock Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hunts Chapel Cemetery Fund.
