Bodies of Two Women Found Off Bypass in Floyd County, Georgia Now Identified

Authorities have identified the two women whose bodies were discovered Wednesday off the bypass at the Etowah River Bridge in Floyd County, Georgia.

Deputy Floyd County Coroner Connie Chandler identified the women as 19-year old Vanita Richardson and 30-year old Clarice Truvenia Campbell, both of Rome.  According to Bryan Johnston with the GBI’s Regional Office in Calhoun, it appears the bodies had been dropped from the bridge near Grizzard Park.

A Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) work crew discovered the bodies as they were performing routine maintenance on the bridge.

We will have additional details as they are released by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
