A group of concerned citizens, parents and grandparents say that they plan to gather with a peaceful rally at the next Board of Education meeting over the concern of placing School Resource Officers in Cherokee County Schools.

The topic of SRO’s has been a much talked about subject across the county for the last several years, more so over the last couple of weeks and citizens say they have to stand up to any and all who oppose implementing the program in Cherokee County.

The group plans to meet outside the Board of Education Central Office on E Main St. prior to the October 1st meeting which is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.

Those that wish to show their support are being asked to participate.
