The Piedmont Police Department has released 3 photos from surveillance video obtained from Discount Food Mart on Memorial Dr. The offender had on a dark colored pair of shorts instead of camouflage shorts. Eye witness said the offender was around 5’10” and approximately 200-220lbs. Anyone with any information please call (256)447-9091 and speak with investigators.

Piedmont Police Chief Freddie Norton says the unidentified white male suspect entered the store at approximately 10:45 p.m. Friday night armed with a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect left the store running south on Anniston Ave. An eyewitness lost contact with him at the intersection of Anniston Ave and Calhoun St. At this time, police do not have any vehicle information and are not certain if he even got into a vehicle at any time.
