Paramount Pictures(LOS ANGELES) — He might be late to the Instagram game, but Tom Cruise joined the social media platform in a big way — by revealing a first-look picture from, and the title of, his sixth Mission: Impossible adventure.
The first, a snap of star and producer Cruise in another one of his character Ethan Hunt’s characteristically death-defying predicaments: clinging onto the side of a helicopter banking in mid-air. To this, he captioned, “We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more.”
Another snap shows the movie’s clapper, revealing its title: Mission: Impossible — Fallout. “Get ready,” Cruise hypes.
The film will again reunite Cruise with his super-spy team, including Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, and Ving Rhames, this time fighting a baddie played by a mustachioed Henry Cavill. It’s set to open July 27.
The TV adaptation movie series Cruise launched in 1996 has been a consistent blockbuster-maker, raking in more than $2 billion worldwide.
By the way, as of late Thursday morning, Cruise’s Instagram already had over 570,000 followers.
