Report: Chris Rock under fire for insensitive harassment jokes

ABC(NEW YORK) — Chris Rock‘s recent comedy routine at a New York club reportedly didn’t sit well with the patrons who attended.

According to Page Six, Rock’s jokes about sexual harassment last week at the Comedy Cellar made some women at the show very upset and uncomfortable.

“They cry rape because they want money,” Rock reportedly said, referring to why he wouldn’t hire a cleaning lady because he’s afraid of the potential accusations.

“I’ve seen him before and he was hysterical, but this wasn’t funny at all,” a woman who reportedly attended Rock’s show told Page Six. “Nobody was laughing. There were many boos and many women who were telling him he was a sexist pig. Two people got kicked out.”

According to the source, Rock attempted to change the subject during his act, but eventually returned to sexual harassment topics, including his own encounter with the disgraced movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

“Weinstein f****** with me by trying to have me star in the worst movies of all time,” he reportedly said.

Neither Rock or his team has yet to comment on the report.
