Report: British cops investigating sex assault claim possibly linked to Kevin Spacey

Netflix/David Giesbrecht(LONDON) — While his show House of Cards was shuttered and he’s reportedly seeking treatment in the wake of accusations he came on to then 14-year-old actor Anthony Rapp years ago, comes a report Kevin Spacey is being investigated for sex assault in England.

The U.K. newspaper The Guardian reports Scotland Yard is looking into allegations that a suspect — which the tabloid The Sun alleges is Spacey — sexually assaulted another actor.

While its Scotland Yard policy not to name names during an active investigation, The Sun reports the incident took place when the younger actor, then 23, fell asleep in the Oscar winner’s residence in 2008, when Spacey was one of the heads of London’s famed Old Vic Theatre.

The tabloid reports that the alleged victim awoke to find Spacey performing a sex act on him, and the victim told him to stop, and left. It’s alleged the actor told the victim to “keep quiet” about what had allegedly transpired.

Scotland Yard refused to comment to the Guardian about the Sun’s story.

Spacey has been the target of other complaints from crew members on House of Cards; eight men have come forward to CNN accusing him of continual harassment and unwanted touching.

After Rapp’s accusations were reported in a Buzzfeed article last last month, Spacey apologized to Rapp in a tweeted statement in which he also came out as gay — the timing of which led to even greater backlash from those who accused Spacey of trying to cover the alleged abuse of a minor by coming out, or was conflating homosexuality with alleged pedophilia.
