“It’s so beautiful”: Mackenzie Davis says fans will be satisfied with “Halt and Catch Fire” series finale

AMC/Bob Mahoney(NEW YORK) — Mackenzie Davis has been having a banner year.

Her fan-favorite episode of Black Mirror, “San Junipero,” won an Emmy last month, she landed a coveted role in Blade Runner 2049, and now she’s wrapping up four seasons as computer genius Cameron Howe on the AMC drama Halt and Catch Fire.

The show’s series finale airs Saturday night. As for whether fans will be satisfied with the ending, Davis believes they will.

“It’s so beautiful,” she tells ABC Radio. “I really don’t feel like it’s just my bias of being a part of the show. It just ends perfectly. Yeah, the creators did such a beautiful job with wrapping it up.”

Davis says that while she would have loved to continue the show, she feels it’s better to go out on a high note.

“As a viewer and as an actress, I think that 40 hours is a good amount of time to tell a story and it’s nice to go out while you’re still sort of climbing and making something better rather than when you’re really reaching for ideas because people are tired and want to move on,” she says.

Davis adds, “I’m really happy with how it ended.”

Halt and Catch Fire airs its series finale Saturday, October 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET on AMC.
