The strikes, which took place earlier this month, targeted men responsible for manufacturing and modifying commercially produced drones and a drone developer. The strikes also destroyed the developer’s research lab.
Each strike took place near the city of Mayadin in Syria. Col. Dillon said the strikes “will disrupt ISIS’s development of weaponized drones, as well as testing new software.”
Dillon also offered updates on the battle for the city of Raqqa, saying that 75 percent of the city was now cleared of ISIS fighters.
