Bill Clinton Says Hillary 'Got Dehydrated' During 9/11 Service

Adam Schultz for Hillary for America(NEW YORK) — President Bill Clinton addressed his wife’s health for the first time Monday in an interview with Charlie Rose, saying that she “got dehydrated” during a 9/11 ceremony in New York.

Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with pneumonia on Sept. 9 and was treated with antibiotics, according to her doctor. The revelation came amid questions about her health from her opponent, Donald Trump and his supporters.

When questioned about Hillary Clinton’s illness, the former president said his wife is doing well and explained that she has suffered with dehydration in the past due to a rigorous political schedule.

“Rarely, on more than one occasion, over the last many, many years, the same sort of thing’s happened to her when she got severely dehydrated, and she’s worked like a demon, as you know, as Secretary of State, as a senator, and in the years since,” said the president.

President Clinton said he believed that his wife made the right decision to temporarily come off the campaign trail, abiding by her doctors suggestions to rest.

In the meantime, President Clinton will temporarily fill in for the former secretary of state, headlining two fundraisers in Los Angeles tomorrow, and he will also campaign in Nevada on her behalf on Wednesday.

He said that he is confident Hillary Clinton will be back on the campaign trail soon and that “she’s doing fine”.

“She was even better last night before she went to sleep,” said the former president Monday. “She had a good night’s sleep. She just got dehydrated yesterday.”

An aide to the former president said he will raise funds for his wife in Los Angeles and Nevada.
