Three Women Killed After Attacking Kenya Police Station

iStock/Thinkstock(MOMBASA, Kenya) — Three women have been killed after they attempted to attack a police station in Mombasa, Kenya, according to officials.

The women told police they wanted to report a stolen phone, police said according to BBC, then one woman pulled a knife and another threw a petrol bomb that started a fire.

Police shot and killed the women, according to BBC, and two officers were injured in the incident.

An unnamed police officer told BBC the women “were definitely on a mission.”

No terror group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but Islamist group al-Shabab has repeatedly staged attacks in Kenya.
