Etowah County investigators have arrested a woman in connection with counterfeit money.

Sheriff Todd Entrekin says 38 year old Amy Jo Reaves Conn of Guntersville, has been arrested on first degree possession of a forged instrument.

Investigators say Conn was in possession of nine pieces of counterfeit money.

She was arrested during a traffic stop of a vehicle in which she was a passenger. Entrekin said Conn faces other charges related to drugs and drug paraphernalia, which were in her possession.

She is currently being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on ,000 bond for possession of the forged instruments.
