Voters in Lyerly approved Liquor Sales on Sunday – making it the only place in neighboring Chattooga County, Georgia where liquor sales are legal and where alcohol can be purchased on Sunday.

With only 54 votes cast, the measure passed by a vote of 29 to 25.

Chattooga County voters also approved the Special Local Option Sales Tax for Education by an overwhelming 80%.
