Wes Mobley has announced, that he will be seeking the Cherokee County District Judge position – which is currently held by Judge Sheri Carver.
He made that announcement during the 10th annual Cherokee Republican Dinner taking place on Tuesday evening (November 5th).
Mobley was tapped by District Attorney Mike O’Dell, to serve as the Assistant District Attorney, back in 2010; prior to that he was in private practice in Centre.
He is a native of Centre and a 1998 graduate of Cherokee County High School. After graduating from Faulkner University in 2005, he went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree, from Jones School of Law in 2008. He currently shares District Court responsibilities and he prosecutes felony drug offenses in both Cherokee and DeKalb counties.
He is married to the former Ashley Matthews; they have one child and reside in Centre.
