Three individuals were arrested on drug charges in Pine Ridge, during the early morning hours of Wednesday (June 19th) – by an alert DeKalb County Deputy.
According to Sheriff Jimmy Harris the deputy was on routine patrol around 4:30am when he saw suspicious activity at a closed place of business.
The deputy approached the building on foot, and saw three men in the shop and office area of the business; all three were detained and the owner gave permission to search the premises which led to the discovery of drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine and a bag of marijuana.
Drug Task Force agents and Ft Payne Police officers responded to the scene – and took the drugs into evidence.
Arrested at the scene were 41 year old Jimmy Lee Swindall, 38 year old Shannon Lee Spears and 32 year old Joshua James Driskall – all of Ft Payne.
All three were charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center.
