Gadsden Police are still investigating the attempt by a woman to use a counterfeit $10 bill Friday afternoon (May 17th) at the Sam’s Market #2/Jet Pep on South 11th Street.
An alert store employee noticed that the bill was a phony and immediately contacted police, who quickly arrived to take the bogus bill into evidence.
The woman who had attempted to use the bill was released, however charges are pending.
