Earleen Ray Harper, age 81 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Thursday, May 2nd at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 3pm Saturday, May 4th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Allen officiating; burial will follow in Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3pm Saturday.
Pallbearers include Steve Reed, Scott Reed, Jayson Reed, Kevin Ray, Jeff Ray, Don Reed and Dalton Gargus.
Survivors include son, David (Gina) Dean of Centre; daughters, Nancy Dean (Kelsie) Jennings of Enterprise and Donna Dean (Earl) Palmer of Decatur; brothers, Lamar Ray of Rome, GA and Henry Allen (Cindy) Ray of Centre; sister, Sara Ann Reed of Centre; grandchildren, Tracy (Michael) Silas, Jonathan (Courtney) Jennings, Allison Jennings and David Lee Dean; great grandchildren, Nathan Silas and Mary Mason Jennings; sister-in-law, Ruby Ray; step grandson, Jeffrey (Chasidy) Wilcox; step great grandchildren, Kylie, Alason, Madilyn and Noah Wilcox; several nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Oscar Owen, daughter, Leigh Dean and brother Billy Ray.
Mrs. Harper was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late James Miles and Leila Johnson Ray and was a member of East Centre Baptist Church.
