2025 Centre Water Works Annual Water Quality Report Released

Centre – 2025 Annual Water Quality Report Released, Results Positive

The 2025 Annual Water Quality Report for the Centre Water and Sewer Board has been released, covering testing conducted throughout the calendar year of 2024. According to the report, all tested categories were within acceptable safety ranges, with no areas of concern identified.

WEIS Radio spoke with Centre Water and Sewer Board Manager David Garrett to discuss the findings. Garrett confirmed the report’s accuracy and expressed satisfaction with the results. He explained that the department thoroughly reviews the report, known as the Annual Drinking Water Report (ADM), before it is distributed.

“If there had been any issues, customers would have been notified twice—once when the issue was identified, and again when the annual report was released,” Garrett said. Fortunately, no such notifications were necessary this year.

Garrett emphasized that the water remains safe for all typical uses, including drinking, bathing, and cooking. When asked if he personally uses the water in his own home, he replied, “Yes, absolutely—I’m comfortable using it.”

He added that the department was proud to meet its quality goals and pleased to continue providing safe drinking water to the community.
